Description:
We are searching for a Project Manager for the implementation of on-going projects.
The incumbent will contribute to develop and refine strategies, to monitor tasks and KPIs of ongoing projects, draft presentation and information material for the promotion of the project, to supervise the financial budget of the current activities and to coordinate with other partners.
The project manager is expected to work closely with all relevant stakeholders, including government agencies, development partners, project team members and consultants and private sector to perform as following:
Tasks and responsibility
- Implementation of activities as required by the projects
- Update future and foresight communication material and description to be used for communication with members and clients
- Develop a literature overview and organize background material
- Work closely with graphic designer to develop communication material on future and foresight activities
- oversee overall projects implementation to ensure timely delivery of outputs within the allocated budget
- in consultation with project team leaders, sector experts, resource persons, design a detailed implementation plan including project timelines, resources, workplans etc.
- prepare annual and semi-annual work plan updates
- supervise full-time national administrative consultants of the projects
- review and revise periodically the cost estimates and projections and report any issues to project team leader
- coordinate with all consultants and staff working under the project to ensure the projects activities are well executed and represent the approach of the company
- validate all consultants’ claims and expenses and report any issues to project team leaders and project analysts
- manage any conflicts and issues on the ground related to the projects, including team performance, coordination with other relevant stakeholders etc.;
- monitor the project implementation progress and produce regular reports to company owners and donors in a timely manner
- consult with sector experts, consultants, and resource persons, identify areas of support and intervention required for the development of the assigned projects
- in coordination with financial management experts (staff and consultants), prepare financial management reports to company owners on regular basis
- coordinate closely with government counterparts including executing and implementing agencies, partners and private sector to ensure synergies with other projects and high development impact
- advise relevant stakeholders on technical issues related to the projects implementation
- act as a country focal point for the projects and liaise closely with the project team leader for any issues on the ground, attend ad-hoc meetings on behalf of project team leader and international consultans
- work closely with project team in reporting, monitoring and evaluation activities for the project and
- travel abroad to meet partners face to face
- organise and manage or take part to international meetings online
- other tasks as reasonably requested by project team leaders
Qualification and Experience valuated
- University Degree
- Work experience in EU project management
- German language (ability to communicate accurately in writing and orally)
- Italian language (ability to communicate in writing and orally)
- English Language (ability to communicate accurately in writing and orally, ability to write project proposals in English)
- Other languages are a plus
- Experience in working with EU institutions
- Able to work independently
- Service oriented, good organisational skills, good communication skills, eye for detail, team spirit
- Rigorous and able to meet deadlines and priorities
- Able to draft routine correspondence and edit materials
- Fully computer literate; knowledge of the main software and programmes
- Experience in ERP is a plus
- Flexibility, adaptability and solidarity with co-workers
